Welsh Molecular Diagnostics Company Raises Interim Round

 
 EnviroGene, a Welsh molecular diagnostics company announced September 21 that it raised £0.5 million (€553,000) in an interim round of investment funding. Investors for this round include a fund managed by RAB Capital plc and Finance Wales, which provides commercial funding to businesses in Wales.
 
The company employs molecular diagnostics and nanoparticle tracing technology in the fields of water quality, groundwater bioremediation monitoring, and upstream oil and gas activities. EnviroGene is seeking to raise a further £1 million over the next six months, and said it is already in discussion with a number of parties.
