Schenker Steps Down As Informilo Editor

Jennifer Schenker, the founder of Informilo, has resigned as CEO and Editor.

In an agreed statement, Schenker said:

“I am proud of the 42 print magazines Informilo published in 14 countries under my leadership, of the support I garnered from sponsors, the subscription service I launched and the more than a dozen networking events I organized in Russia and Western Europe. I have learned so much along the way. But it is time for me to move on to new challenges so I am ‘opening the door to the future, taking a deep breath and stepping on through to start the next chapter of my life’,” says Schenker.
“I thank Informilo board chair Audrey Mandela and investors Mans Hultman and Sean Phelan for their support. I wish Informilo every success in future.”

Ben Rooney, who joined the company in 2014, will become Informilo’s editor.

Rooney, who joined the company from The Wall Street Journal where he was the paper’s Technology Editor in Europe , said in reply:

“I would like to thank Jennifer for her time at Informilo. I was delighted to join the company in 2014 to re-launch both the magazine and website and look forward to the many challenges that lie ahead.”
