Appcelerator Raises New $15 million Round, Plans Expansion into Europe and Asia

The U.S.'s Appcelerator, an integrated mobile platform for rapidly developing native and HTML5 mobile web applications using open web technologies,  announced November 1 that it has secured $15 Million in funding from  Mayfield Fund, TransLink Capital, Red Hat, eBay Inc., Sierra Ventures, and Storm Ventures. Proceeds will fund expansion into Europe and Asia as well as continued investments in the company’s  mobile development platform, Appcelerator Titanium.Read more

Revolutionizing The Energy Sector

If Bloom Energy's  technology fulfills its potential, homes and businesses could one day generate their own electricity and fuel their own vehicles.  It builds what are called solid-oxide fuel cells, in which water, oxygen, and a hydrogen source such as natural gas, are pulled through the cell to cleanly generate electricity. Paris-based software company Squid Solutions Raises Series A Round


Squid Solutions, a Paris-based company that makes software that extracts customer insights from large data warehouses, announced the closing of a series A round of €3 million on Feb. 3. The round was funded by Neptune Technologies and Banque de Vizille and private investors. The company', which targets the telecom, e-commerce, finance and retail markets, counts French mobile operator SFR and eBay in the U.S., Germany and France, among its customers.
